32-bit color icons
OS 8.5 increases the resolution of its icons from 256 colors to millions of colors, provided your monitor’s resolution is set that high. These new icons can also be anti-aliased, meaning that shadows (like the ones on the folder icons above) will change color depending on the color of the background they’re sitting on.
